Here is the storyboard I prepared in power point. This is a work in progress since I had a hard time trying to put this together. I still have my doubts since finding research studies that address the vodcast in educational settings its been difficult.

Derek sent me a couple of links that I explored and obtained information. This is an improve version. The S-Curve is still empty as it has been hard to find information. In parts of Europe and Australia the Vocasts have acceptance. However, I have not found concrete numbers. Thanks for your feedback.
Derek's comment: Your storyboard is coming along nicely. There isn't much out there on the rate of adoption for many of the newest innovations. I think we are discovering gaps in the literature. Maybe these innovations will become a KAM or dissertation topic for someone. Just thinking out loud!

Yes I am planning on using both. I think is necessary. First at an organizational level would be necessary the centralization and second, decentralization when working with students.

Would vodcasts make high school physics or 8th grade algebra easier to learn since the student could watch the vodcast as many times as needed?What about vodcasts for physical education? Students could use vodcasts to develop skills prior to a skill assessment (such as in a science lab).
Aracelis: Depends on the level of interest they show. I do not think it would be impossible to use it with middle and high school students. It would be important to consider the course and the topic to be discussed. Using vodcasts in Physical Education does not sound as a bad idea if you have a good projector and facilities. However, it would be necessary to evaluate if vodcasts could be used for every course.
Dona's Comment: I would agree with Derek about usability in science and math. It would provide the ability for students to see a process as many times as needed for their learning process. It could also provide access for students who might be absent that particular day for some reason or allow for students to cover information prior to the activities in class. The one concern as always is the access to the technology for students who have limited resources.

Derek's comment: Your slideshow is very impressive. I see that vodcasts are not being used very much in the K-12 classrooms. Perhaps technologies like the iPad and the iPod will make vodcasts more accessible as these devices move into the K-12 classrooms. You may want to hyperlink the URLs in your slideshow for ease of access during the presentation. Good job!
Anne's Comment: Aracelis--this was a very good presentation. You made a compelling case for adopting vodcasts into the curriculum. I agree with Derek that I would have liked the references to be hyperlinked so that I could check them on the fly, but otherwise it was nicely presented.

If there was suppose to be sound I was not able to hear it. I know I was having some issues with my presentation when it was loaded into slideshow. I decided to also post the powerpoint straight into the wiki as well. When I did that it played the narraton.
